What we are looking for

Zimex Aviation is looking for an organised, detail-focused administrator to strengthen our Technical Services team at our Base Maintenance facility in Altenrhein. In this office-based role you prepare and manage the maintenance work packages for our Base Maintenance line (work preparation / AVOR) and support the continuing airworthiness of our third-party CAMO customer fleet.

It is a varied, multifunctional position that combines maintenance planning, technical documentation and customer coordination – ideal for someone with a genuine technical interest in aviation, strong administrative skills and good foreign-language ability. You report to the CAMO Manager (NPCA) and work closely with the Hangar Manager on project planning.

Your main tasks

  • Prepare detailed work packages for Base Maintenance, including the inspection documents for the engineers
  • Check inventory and order the material required for each scheduled work package
  • Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) before work starts and integrate them into the work package when due
  • Ensure the required technical documentation and manufacturer’s instructions (maintenance manuals, SBs, SLs, illustrated parts catalogues) are available, and monitor their revision status
  • Monitor work in progress – open and completed tasks – and determine the cost of sales
  • Check the job cards for completeness, close the work packages and prepare the work reports
  • Prepare invoices based on the quotation, purchase order, correspondence and work reports
  • File and archive completed work packages
  • Monitor the accumulated hours / cycles of the customer aircraft in our CAMO and keep the aircraft status, hours / cycles and master data up to date in our maintenance & CAMO software
  • Prepare quotations for new projects and for additional findings, and coordinate with customers during work in progress
  • Support the purchasing department with warranty claims towards the aircraft manufacturer
  • Carry out further administrative and coordination tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager

Your qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in technical aviation, preferably in continuing airworthiness
  • Good business English; German is a clear advantage
  • Good PC skills (Microsoft Office / SharePoint)
  • Independent, reliable and structured way of working, with commercial awareness
  • A strong team player who integrates well within a small team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel occasionally
  • Willingness to learn and to undertake continuous training in your area of expertise

What we offer

  • A varied, multifunctional role in a modern Base Maintenance environment at Altenrhein Airport, Switzerland
  • Responsibility across both maintenance planning (AVOR) and CAMO customer support
  • Initial and continuous training, including user training for our maintenance & CAMO software and Zimex procedures
  • A small, experienced and highly professional team
  • Work carried out within the framework of the Zimex CAME and MOE
