What we are looking for

Zimex Aviation is looking for an experienced, EASA Part-66 Category B1 licensed aircraft mechanic to reinforce our Base Maintenance team in Altenrhein. You bring several years of hands-on experience, work independently and reliably to the highest standards, and enjoy the variety of working on a diverse fleet. Your main tasks

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting in full compliance with the requirements of the pertinent authorities, the manufacturer’s instructions and the general rules applicable to work on aircraft and components
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Carry out Service Bulletins (SBs) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs) in full compliance with authority and manufacturer requirements
  • Perform mechanical repairs and minor structural repairs as per the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Carry out system adjustments and operational checks, and rectify snags during flight operations
  • Report unusual defects and occurrences (in accordance with AMC 20-8 / Regulation 2042/2003) into Prism safety
  • Verify that all work is complete, paperwork is signed and technical documents are correctly completed prior to aircraft delivery
  • Keep the Hangar Manager (or deputy) informed about the work situation, additional work or parts required, and any deviations from regulations or planned times
  • Ensure cleanliness and occupational safety at your workplace
  • Work independently according to the relevant regulations, and be deployable as an independent field service engineer / troubleshooter

Your qualifications

  • EASA Part-66 Category B1 aircraft maintenance licence (mandatory)
  • Several years’ proven experience as a licensed B1 engineer in Base and/or Line Maintenance (minimum 3 years)
  • Completed apprenticeship as a mechanic or equivalent technical education
  • Type rating on Cessna C208, DHC-6, Pilatus PC-6 or King Air B200
  • Good command of English; PC skills (Word / Excel)
  • High reliability, strong sense of responsibility and self-checking, commercial awareness
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel; team player who integrates well
